TSA Accepts Criminal Warrants As ID For Illegal Immigrants Boarding Flights

Illegal immigrants are allowed to travel through airport security using an arrest warrant to verify their identity, according to the Transportation Security Administration.

Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, sent a letter to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) after receiving information from a whistleblower that the agency was permitting ‘unknown migrants’ to board commercial planes in the United States.

Administration Administrator David Pekoske responded, saying that some Department of Homeland Security (DHS) papers, such as a “Warrant for Arrest of Alien” and a “Warrant of Removal/Deportation,” may be regarded as valid replacement forms of identification.

Among the other admissible papers, according to a letter acquired by DailyMail.com, are an Order of Release on Recognizance, an Order of Supervision, a Notice to Appear, an Arrival and Departure form, or an Alien Booking Record.

If a traveler does not have appropriate identification, two pieces of substitute identification are required, and they will be subjected to further screening during their trip.

Non-U.S. and Canadian nationals who do not have government-issued identification or passports are subject to the policy.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, an average of 159 individuals fly around the United States each day using these DHS-issued documents as their identification.

Gooden, speaking with Daily Mail, said, “TSA’s response confirms the Biden Administration is knowingly putting our national security at risk. Unknown and unvetted immigrants shouldn’t even be in the country, much less flying without proper identification.”

Pekoske wrote in his response to Gooden that the “TSA is committed to ensuring that all travelers, regardless of immigration status, are pre-screened before they arrive to the airport, have their pre-screening status and identification verified at security checkpoints, and receive appropriate screening based on risk before entering the sterile area of the airport.”

There are estimated to be 11 million illegal immigrants living in the United States currently.

An estimated 2 million illegals came into touch with immigration enforcement during the fiscal year 2021, according to a recent Customs and Border Protection report.
