Tucker Exposes Bank Of America For Sending Customers Purchases To The Government After Capitol Incident

Bank of America searched through customer data following the Capitol Hill riots after January 6th and these were records of people who had nothing to do with what happened.

BOFA at the request of federal investigators searched customers based on certain profiles.

The profiles listed below.

  1. Customers confirmed as transacting, either through bank account debit card or credit card purchases in Washington, D.C. between 1/5 and 1/6…
  2. Purchases made for Hotel/AirBnb RSVPs in DC, VA and MD after 1/6…
  3. Any purchase of weapons or at a weapons-related merchant between 1/7 and their upcoming suspected stay in D.C. area around Inauguration Day.
  4. Airline related purchases since 1/6.

These profiles are very broad and any purchases of anything found about 211 customers who met these profiles and the customers had no idea they were being spied upon.

Carlson compared what BOFA did in turning in customers to the feds as a comparison to being treated like a member of Al Qaeda when they have not done anything wrong at all.

BOFA admitted to what happened with customers info being shared.

BOFA stated, “We don’t comment on our communications with law enforcement. All banks have responsibilities under federal law to cooperate with law enforcement inquiries in full compliance with the law.”
