Investigators posed as children on various dating apps to collect evidence.
Among the 21 sexual predators arrested was 32-year-old Thomas Cheung, an official Twitch partner. Cheung worked at Hi-Rez Studios as a community specialist for “Smite.” However, he has since been fired from Hi-Rez Studios following his arrest.
According to a press release from the task force, “those arrested had sexually explicit conversations with whom they believed to be a child.”
Cheung’s sex crimes case will be prosecuted in DeKalb County, Georgia.
It is not yet known whether or not Twitch will drop Cheung as a partnered streamer.
