Unarmed Female Trump Supporter Who Was Shot And Killed By Capitol Police Identified As 14-Year Air Force Veteran Ashli Babbitt

A female unarmed pro-Trump protester who was shot and killed by Capitol police in Washington, DC has been identified as Ashli Babbitt.

Babbitt was a 14-year Air Force veteran who served 4 tours of duty overseas, according to KUSI-TV.

She was married and resided in San Diego, California.

The Air Force vet was shot and killed when a large group of peaceful Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol building as Congress was in the middle of debating the results of the Electoral College.

Twitter user @RealDealAxelrod posted a screenshot of a text conservation between Babbitt and himself that took place while Babbitt was on her flight to Washington, DC.

“Be safe.  I cannot lose you,” reads the message from Mr. Axelrod.

Babbitt replied, “Lots of Trump supporters on my plane!!! I’ll watch my 6.”

A witness to the shooting of Babbitt described the tragedy during an interview with WUSA news.
