Video Of Policeman Arresting Broward County Black Teen Goes Viral

A cellphone video showing an altercation between two Broward County sheriff deputies and a 15-year-old black teen has received over 2 million views on Twitter and caused debate on social media.

In the video, Broward County sheriff’s deputy Christopher Krickovich is shown allegedly jumping on a 15-year-old boy named Lucca, slamming Lucca’s head to the ground, and punching Lucca’s head repeatedly before putting him in handcuffs.

Lucca was reportedly unarmed and was attempting to retrieve the cellphone of a fellow classmate who was being arrested.

The video went viral on Twitter and sparked the #JusticeForLucca.

Many celebrities have tweeted about the video, including LeBron James and Steve Kerr.

Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony released two videos on Twitter in response to the incident. Sheriff Tony stated that the deputy involved “has been placed on restrictive administrative assignment” while the investigation into the incident takes place.

Conservative Instagram influencer ‘DC_Draino‘ posted the viral video on his Instagram page, along with a lengthy caption in which he said, “I am reserving further judgement until we learn more but it looks like this situation will only be generating more outrage in the near future.”
