Virginia Public School Official Threatens Trespassing Charges For Any Parent That Drops Off Maskless Child
An assistant principal in Loudon County, VA, has come under fire after an audio clip recently released shows her explaining it is a felony crime for parents to drop off children at school without a mask.
The audio clip comes from a phone call held with parents where she threatens to press Class 1 Misdemeanor charges against any parent that drops off their children without a mask on.
These charges are punishable by up to a year in jail and a $2,500 fine. The assistant principal can be heard saying this:
“Until you arrive, your children will be held in an in-school restriction situation here at school…It is important that I point out to you that they are not allowed on campus or allowed on Loudon County public school property. Starting tomorrow, it will be considered trespassing so it is important that I make that statement to you”
Maskless students would also be suspended, the school official added.
