WATCH: Biden Booed, Ripped For Surprise Visit To Charity Baseball Game (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden didn’t get a warm welcome from everyone when he attended the annual congressional exhibition baseball game at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

The Democratic president headed out for the “surprise” visit where he was met with booes from the crowd and his critics online — amid a series of challenges facing his administration.

Former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley slammed Biden for having the time to attend the game while continuously evading questions about more important issues facing the country including the recent Afghanistan fallout which left 13 US servicemen dead, and the spiraling immigration crisis at the US-Mexico border.

“The fact that Joe Biden has time to go to the Congressional baseball game but not time to take questions on Afghanistan or see the humanitarian crisis at the border is a disgrace. #DoYourJob #StrikingOut,” Nikki Haley wrote on Twitter.

“Joe Biden goes to the congressional baseball game but hasn’t been to the border,” the official Twitter account of the GOP said.

Others also blasted how Biden appeared in the game not wearing mask.

“Joe Biden maskless at a baseball game. No social distancing either,” the comment said. “Guess we are taking a break from the show tonight.”

Biden made the unexpected appearance while attempting to salvage two bills that had been stuck in Congress threatening to derail his agenda.

Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, both moderate Democrats, have stated publicly that they oppose Biden’s $3.5 trillion federal spending measure, while progressives could also block a separate $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill in a critical vote on Thursday.

Manchin called the spending bill “fiscal insanity,” as far-left members of the so-called “Squad” also threatened to kill the infrastructure bill.

“Respectfully, as I have said for months, I can’t support $3.5 trillion more in spending when we have already spent $5.4 trillion since last March,” Manchin said on Wednesday.

“At some point, all of us, regardless of party, must ask the simple question — how much is enough?” the senator from West Virginia added.

Then, far-left Rep. Pramila Jayapal (Washington), a leader of the House progressive bloc, threatened that Biden’s key infrastructure bill would also go down in flames at the Democrat-led House of Representatives if it came up for a vote.

“After that statement [from Manchin], we probably have even more people willing to vote no,” Jayapal said.

The legislation was reportedly up for vote on Thursday but there were also rumors swirling that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may have to pull the vote because she doesn’t have enough numbers to ensure that the measure is passed.

When Biden arrived at the Nationals Park in Washington, the crowd could be heard cheering —  and also booing Biden, according to a pool report from a White House correspondent present in the baseball match.

“Biden gets booed at the Congressional baseball game,” the tweet said.

“The game was briefly delayed as he acknowledged the crowd, though the cheers soon gave way to boos from Republicans sitting in the first base stands,” The New York Post said.

Some GOP fans also chanted: “‘Let’s play ball!” the reports said, noting that they might have “suspected the president of trying to ice their starting pitcher, Rep. Greg Steube (Florida).”

President Biden eventually headed over to the third base dugout, according to the online accounts of his impromptu visit, where he was seen chatting with members of the Democratic team.

“Before the bottom of the third, the president crossed the field and greeted Republican lawmakers in the first base dugout. Biden left the park about an hour after he arrived,” the Post added.
