(WATCH) Biden Brags He Put A Dead Dog On Woman’s Doorstep As A City Councilman (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden shared memories of his time as a member of the New Castle County Council during a speech delivered on Tuesday at the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference.

Biden told the crowd, “I know from personal experience how hard the job you have is.”

He recounted how he represented a district that ranged from middle class to working class, with “one very wealthy neighborhood.”

“And I got a call one night, a woman said to me – obviously not of the same persuasion as I was politically – call me and say, ‘there’s a dead dog on my lawn,'” the president said.

“And I said, ‘yes ma’am, did you call the county?’ And she said, ‘yes, they’re not here.’ And I said, ‘well, I’ll get ’em in the morning,'” he continued.

The woman did not accept Biden’s response.

“She said, ‘I want it removed now, I pay your salary,'” Biden said.

“So I went over. I picked it up. She said ‘I want it out of my front yard,’ Biden continued. “I put it on her doorstep,” the President added as the crowd erupted with laughter.

After telling his story, Biden alleged, “I’ve gotten much better since then.”

The President was in his late 20s when he was elected to serve on the county council for Delaware’s most populated county.
