(WATCH) Biden Met With ‘Let’s Go, Brandon!’ Jeers In Kentucky (VIDEO)
When President Biden arrived in Kentucky on Wednesday to survey tornado damage from last week, he was greeted with chants of “Let’s go, Brandon!”
In Mayfield, Biden was met with a Trump flag, and the words “Let’s go, Brandon!” were shouted twice he exited his vehicle, according to BBC News correspondent Tara McKelvey, who was on the scene.
I’m with the president in Mayfield. Looking at destruction. There is a Trump flag and when Biden got out of the motorcade someone called: “Let’s go, Brandon.” They said it twice. https://t.co/5RuLK62O2Q pic.twitter.com/XTWtXE6ASu

The anti-Biden phrase became popular on the internet in October after an NBC reporter at a NASCAR Xfinity Series race reported incorrectly that fans in the stands were chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” following a victory by driver Brandon Brown, when in fact they were chanting “F—k Joe Biden.” The phrase has since gone viral on the internet. In the months afterward, it has grown into a hugely popular anti-Biden rallying cry, with spontaneous chants breaking out at concerts, athletic events, and even churches.
Biden is in Kentucky after catastrophic storms ravaged sections of the Midwest and the South over the weekend, killing at least 88 people, including 74 in Kentucky.
When the president arrived at Fort Campbell, he visited with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, and then he was given a storm briefing at a nearby airfield in Mayfield. The president, who was joined by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, told state and municipal officials, “don’t hesitate to ask for anything” from the federal government.
The president took an aerial tour of the damage in Mayfield, which was followed by a trip along roads that were littered with wreckage. The president was later scheduled to look at the damage in Dawson Springs.
Earlier in the day, President Biden tweeted: “I’m in Kentucky today to meet with local leaders and to survey the damage from the tornadoes and extreme weather. It will take all of us, working together, to recover and begin rebuilding — and we are committed to providing whatever support is needed for however long it takes.”
