WATCH: Black Republican Senator Tim Scott SLAMS Joe Biden For His ‘Arrogant, Condescending’ Comment That Black Trump Voters ‘Ain’t Black’

Presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden is receiving bi-partisan condemnation for his interview on ‘The Breakfast Club’ radio show, where he stated that Black Trump voters “ain’t black.”

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” said Biden to ‘The Breakfast Club’ host Charlamagne, who is African-American.

After his offensive comment, Biden immediately proceeded to list why black Americans should support him, in an attempt to do damage control.

“Look at my record, man, I extended the voting racks 25 years. I have a record that is second to none. The NAACP’s endorsed me every time I’ve run.  I mean, come on. Take a look at the record,” Biden told Charlamagne.

Republican Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, a black American, blasted Biden’s “you ain’t black” line as one of the most arrogant and outrageous comments he had heard in a very long time.

“That is the most arrogant, condescending comment I’ve heard in a very long time, and that’s saying something,” said Senator Scott during an appearance on the Fox Business program ‘Varney & Co.’

Senator Scott also slammed Biden for his sponsorship of the 1994 Clinton-endorsed crime bill, which resulted in the incarceration of thousands of Black American men.

“The man who sponsored and led the charge of the 1990s crime bill that locked up more African-American males than any other piece of legislation, and President Trump comes along and through his criminal justice reform, corrects that absolute mistakes made by Joe Biden.”

Senator Scott continued, “If you think about the numbers, 1.3 million African-Americans voted for Trump. He’s saying to 1.3 million African-Americans that you’re ‘not black.’ Who in the heck does he think he is? That is the most arrogant, outrageous comment I’ve heard in a very long time. And I take offense to that.”

Fox Business host Charles Payne, an African-American Republican, criticized Biden for his use of overly simplistic, pandering language instead of focusing on economic empowerment solutions that will help elevate Black American’s income.

“Joe Biden’s policy and voting record have hurt black people, particularly young men. Joe Biden is condescending and he’s offensive. Remember ‘they’re gonna put y’all back in chains’? Joe Biden demeans black voters with this simplistic campaign slogan while ignoring the community’s concerns with much more complicated issues. Joe Biden is using a divisive political insinuation suggesting that Democrats are the ‘good white people’ and Republicans are the ‘bad white people’, which is really amazing based on actual events in our history that truly propelled black people into freedom and a more just society,” said Payne.
