(WATCH) Canadian Protestor Absolutely Tears Apart CBC Journalist For Suggesting His Children Should Be Taken Away (VIDEO)

On Tuesday, a video of a Candian protestor slamming into a CBC reporter for saying that his children, who traveled with him to Ottawa for the truckers’ convoy, should be taken away, went viral on Twitter.

Joseph Tunney, a CBC journalist, was the one who shot and shared the video. Tunney hinted that the children of protestors may be in danger and reported to the Children’s Aid Society (CAS), a Candian organization similar to Child Protection Services (CPS).

The protestor angrily asked Tunney, “So you’re saying that my teenagers are threatened for being in Ottawa? Is that what you’re telling me? Answer my question!”

“We’ve all answered questions, you answer mine. Are my children in danger for being in Ottawa?”

Tunney began to talk about the CAS, but was interrupted.

“Ottawa Police Deputy Chief Steve Bell says 25 percent of trucks camped out at Ottawa protests have children living in them,” CTV’s Glen McGregor reported on the situation.

During a Tuesday media update Bell said, “police are greatly concerned about children living in trucks — the risk of carbon monoxide fumes, cold, sanitation and noise levels. Not yet doing any enforcement re kids, will rely on guidance from Children’s Aid Service. Through intelligence, we’ve learned that almost 25 per cent of the 418 trucks encamped in our city have children living in them — children who could be at risk during a police operation.”

The Children’s Aid Society said in a statement shared with CBC that they have a duty to investigate any allegations of abuse to ensure children are protected. CAS confirmed they are working with Ottawa police.

The protestor continued to confront Tunney, saying, “Are my children in danger from being in Ottawa right now? Tell me yes or no.”

Bystanders began to sing the Canadian national anthem during the interaction.

“What do you mean by ‘in danger?'” Tunney replied.

“You tell me. You’re coming here trying to say that children are in danger,” said the protestor. He then called the CBC crew the “messenger for the devil”, and asked once again, “Should I send them on the first train out of town? So you’re saying that my kids are going to get hurt?”

Tunney timidly replied, “I am not saying anything.” He backtracked, saying he was just relaying the CAS’ message.

“So you’re telling me now, that I should be getting my kids out of town because they’re going to get hurt? You already said PD is going to come in here and do what? What are they — what — ’cause you don’t give a sh*t about nobody, all you care about is your paycheck. You sold your soul a long time ago. You work for the devil, that’s who you work for,” the protestor continued, as he pointed to the media crew.

Tunney replied, “I don’t know the future, like, I don’t know, I mean, all I can tell you —”

The protestor interrupted Tunney, saying, “Well why are you here trying to act like you’re concerned about kids? I have two teenagers here that are in my car. Are they in danger, yes or no?”

Tunney stated once more that he does not have the ability to look into the future, to which the protestor responded with “go f*ck yourself then,” and walked away.
