Al Sharpton has asked for an inquiry of the border patrol agents on horseback who did their job by chasing away illegal immigrants from Haiti, as reported by the Associated Press.
Hecklers yelled at him, telling him to “get out of Texas.”
In the video, Sharpton seems to be clearly agitated as he attempts to talk with members of the media. The words “go home,” and “our Border Patrol are heroes” were among those yelled out by the mostly-resident audience. As the reverend and his entourage exchanged words, the gathering became more packed, forcing the reverend to leave quickly.
The community of Del Rio is one of love and compassion. “We don’t want your bigotry in Texas, so get out of here!” said a spectator as he approached the scene.
