WATCH: LA County Supervisor Votes To Ban Dining, What She Does Next Is Unbelievable (VIDEO)

Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl was caught dining at an Italian restaurant after she voted to ban outdoor dining at 31,000 L.A. restaurants.

Sighting of Supervisor Kuehl ignited protests near her home while her office claimed that the sightings were a “non-story”

One protester said, “It’s totally hypocritical of her. It’s basically one set of rules for them and another set of rules for us.”

Supervisor Kuehl stated, “Many of us have heard a cacophony from restaurant owners. I got emails yesterday from consultants that work with worker groups indicating that they were pleased, though worried about their revenues. And I don’t know how many restaurants you’ve been into where six or eight people are talking at the top of their lungs. But as we know, that also means that they can impact people more than six feet away. So I think it’s sad, but I support this. We have done everything we can and I think done well in L.A. County to try to protect business owners as much as possible by allowing limited openings.”

Kuehl continued, “In an outdoor gym, for instance, you are six feet apart and you are wearing a mask. I don’t know whether that’s perfectly safe, but at least they’re adhering to what the best science is about, how to protect as much. So I sadly but strongly support our moving our restaurants back to take out and delivery [only], many of them adjusted in the first three months of this pandemic to providing services that way. I want to remind you that with thirty-one thousand restaurants in the County, if only 40 people eat each day throughout the day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner at those, that’s over a million and a quarter people that our workers are exposed to.”
