Masvidal also criticized Biden’s pandering to Latinos by playing ‘Despacito’ from his phone.
(UFC) fighter Jorge Masvidal said, “I’m going to let you in on something. The Democrats just think that they’re entitled to the Latino vote. They think that we just have to hand it over to them. That’s right. We sure as hell don’t. ‘Make us. Make us.’ . They’ve got to show us what they could do for us, what they could do for our communities. We’re not going to buy the same, wolf tickets and false promises that destroyed great countries like Venezuela and Cuba. It’s not gonna happen. You know what else is not going to work for them? Playing ‘Despacito’ on your cell phone to pander to us. Hell no. You’ve got to give us some credit for having heads on our shoulders. I’m gonna wrap this up with some words of Barack Obama. He said elections have consequences. That is true. And those words have never been more true than they are today.”
The UFC fighter Masvidal continued, “We either President Trump and keep America great. [Audience applause] Amen. Or we let Joe Biden destroy the greatest country the world has ever seen. Now, I’m a professional athlete. I’ve been one for most of my life, so I’ve always seen things through a sports lens. That makes Donald Trump our head coach. And before the global pandemic, we were winning Super Bowls. And when you’re winning Super Bowls, you don’t fire the coach. You know, it doesn’t matter if you don’t like the plays he runs, the players he puts on the field, or what he says on Twitter. You sure as hell don’t replace him for another coach that’s been in the business for 47 years at every level and never won a f***ing game.
Masvidal joined Donald Trump Jr. and Marco Rubio to speak at a series of events called ‘Fighters Against Socialist’ around Florida.
The UFC fighter also criticized how Democrats have not produced results for the Latino community.
A Trump campaign official made comments on how the Democrats have pandered to Latinos and discussed who has delivered ‘results’ for the Hispanic community.
The official said, “It’s Hispanic Heritage Month. Joe Biden went to Florida to try to shore up his flailing support among Hispanic Americans. At least this time, he didn’t play ‘Despacito’ from his phone in another cringe-worthy moment. But let’s look at the actual economic data. Who produces results for Hispanic citizens? This is the total number of months of under five percent Hispanic jobless rate. Let’s compare the last three presidents. Under George W. Bush, one, uno, month under five percent. How many under Obama and Biden? Zero. Big goose egg. How many under President Trump? Twenty-six. Twenty-six months under five percent jobless rate for Hispanic Americans. That’s real prosperity. Tangible results for all of our citizens, for the economic underdogs, the strivers, including Hispanics.”
