(WATCH) Masked Robbers Wielding Hammers Violently Rob California Jewelry Store (VIDEO)

Viral video footage shows what seems to be a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in Roseville Galleria, a California mall.

The video shows a pack of ten masked individuals using sledgehammers to break display cases to snatch jewelry at Valliani Jewelers before running into a nearby JCPenney store on Friday afternoon.

According to the Roseville Police Department, one of the thieves pulled a handgun on a terrified employee.

An employee at a nearby store said, “They yelled ‘Get on the ground, get on the ground,’ and then I heard glass smashing. They had sledgehammers, they were breaking the glass. Watching the employees after the fact…they were really shaken up.”

The police said all ten of the thieves are suspected to be between the age of sixteen and twenty-two.

Surveillance footage shows the mob of masked suspects escaping in two cars parked outside the mall.

Police spokesperson Rob Baquera told CBS Sacramento that the suspects are facing a “number of charges”, adding, “organized retail crime theft is certainly one. They obviously worked in a coordinated fashion to hit this store.”

Twitter users ripped into the state of California and its high amounts of crime.

One user said, “Cali residents got what they voted for.”

Another Twitter user commented, “Is that what @JoeBiden ‘Build Back Better’ is all about..”
