WATCH: Mother Of Jacob Blake Condemns Violent Riots On CNN (VIDEO)
Kenosha, Wisconsin has faced violent riots after a police shooting involving 29-year-old Jacob Blake and Blake’s mother spoke out, condemning the riots.

Mrs. Jackson stated, “My family and I are very hurt. And, quite frankly, disgusted. And as his mother, please don’t burn up property and cause havoc and tear your own homes down in my son’s name. You shouldn’t do it. People shouldn’t do it anyway. But to use my child or any other mother or father’s child, that our tragedy, to react in that manner is just not acceptable. It’s not helping Jacob. It’s not helping Jacob or any other of the men or women who has suffered in these areas.”
Protestors at the Kenosha courthouse burned American flags and called for the death of police officers.
Rioters excuse the destruction of businesses saying, ‘they have insurance’.
One business owner stated, “It’s not justifiable. We have insurance? Yeah. But the insurance isn’t there so somebody can destroy and hear things and say, ‘oh, well, there’s insurance.’ You pay for that. You know, we pay for insurance. [Riots] causes insurance rates to go up. It’s basically theft. They just stole from us. Whoever did this stole from us and that raises the cost of everything. Cost of living goes up because of theft. The cost of insurance goes up when insurance claims have to be made.”
Another owner said, “I don’t think it’s justified for anyone to ruin anybody else’s property. It’s against the law. They’ll be put in prison. An order has to be made to pay back what they’ve destroyed. Letting these people get away with this and holding the cop’s hands where they can’t do nothing. That’s wrong. The cops need to be able to do their job.”
The business owner continued, “And you’re not doing. This isn’t going to bring-. Isn’t going to help your cause.”
