(WATCH) MSNBC Anchors Get Triggered By Biden’s Low Approval Ratings (VIDEO)
President Biden’s popularity continues to drop, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos survey issued on Tuesday. The president’s approval rating has now fallen to a new low of 40%, according to their metrics.
An MSNBC journalist reacted to the latest poll results with clear alarm, saying: “There seems to be a direct link here. We’re seeing in these numbers between what you’re talking about with the economy, and Joe Biden’s standing in the polls, and his party’s standing in the polls.”
As the November mid-term elections approach, the public’s image of the Democratic Party is becoming increasingly significant. Democrats are worried about a “red wave” sweeping the country, as happened in 1994, when polling data was comparable to what we have now.
“Let’s take you through it. Overall, right now we are finding this poll [shows] a 40 percent approval rating for Biden right now; well over 50 percent disapprove.”
The host went on to say how Biden’s poll numbers had been continuously declining: “Compare this to our last poll; this was taken just in January. Again, there’s been a slide here over a period of time for Biden. It was 43 [percent]; now it’s down to 40.”
“So, he’s been moving [in] the wrong direction in the last couple of months.”
The poll was conducted over the phone between March 21 and March 22 and received 1,005 responses.
