(WATCH) NYC Police Make Arrests At NYC Protests Against City Vaccine Mandate (VIDEO)

Four people were arrested on Wednesday night after they protested in an Applebee’s restaurant in New York City in opposition to the city’s vaccine policy. The Applebee’s is located in the same Queens mall where six anti-vaxxers were arrested on Tuesday for criminal trespassing at a Cheesecake Factory restaurant. In New York City, patrons must provide proof of vaccination before being admitted into restaurants.

On Wednesday night, while following the group throughout the city, independent photographer Leeroy Johnson captured the arrests on camera. One of Johnson’s videos shows various members of the New York Police Department (NYPD) restraining several protestors while a group of people still gathered in the Applebee’s restaurant chants “no more mandates.”

A crowd of anti-mandate protestors gathered behind the New York Police Department after the Applebee’s arrests, yelling “SHAME SHAME.” according to other videos shared by Johnson on Wednesday.

Following the protests, four people were brought into jail, according to an NYPD spokesman who spoke to Insider.

Insider reached out to Applebee’s for comment but did not receive a response right away.

Applebee’s protest comes a day after six individuals were arrested at the Cheesecake Factory, which is located in the same mall as the Applebee’s, on Tuesday night, according to police. It was requested of the group that they provide proof of vaccination in accordance with the requirements of New York’s vaccine mandate, which they refused to do.

A group of anti-vaccine demonstrators visited multiple restaurants in the Queens Center Mall on Wednesday, according to Johnson, who spoke to Insider about the incident. They organized a small protest outside the Queen’s Center Mall Cheesecake Factory, where the six had been arrested the night before, before making their way to the Applebee’s restaurant in the mall.
