WATCH: Pelosi Responds To Hair Salon Controversy (VIDEO)

It was reported, “The owner of ESalon here on Union Street tells Fox News House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was here yesterday getting a wash and blow-dry inside the salon. She shared surveillance video of Speaker Pelosi inside with Fox News. You can see Pelosi with her hair wet, walking inside with her mask down. The inside service is a violation of San Francisco’s health order restricting business activity because of COVID-19. Hair salons have been closed since March. Only today are they allowed to begin operating outside. A Bay Area attorney who has sued California’s governor to allow salons to reopen is outraged.”

An attorney stated, “I’ve represented a lot of hair salons in California that have begged the governor for the right to open safely. They’ve not been allowed to do that. But I guess if your name is Nancy Pelosi, a different set of rules applies to you. That’s really unacceptable.”

A statement from Pelosi’s office said, “The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements. This business offered for the speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment.”

Pelosi claimed that the salon owner set her up and she quickly demanded an apology.

Pelosi said, “When they said what we’re able to accommodate people one person at a time and that we can set up that time, I trusted that. As it turns out, it was a setup. So I take responsibility for falling for a setup. I think that they owe-. That this salon owes me an apology for setting up.

Pelosi did not want the RNC to happen due to COVID and even says that Trump wearing a mask is ‘not a good example’.

Pelosi claimed, “This president doesn’t care less about the spread of this virus than to see what he did vandalizing, by the way, the White House, by bringing all those people there, no mask, no distancing, and the rest, he slapped science right in the face. And what a bad example that was.

Pelosi also said, “No, I don’t think the president has handled it well. I don’t even think he gets good example by wearing a mask, for heaven’s sake, not to protect him if he feels invulnerable, but to protect others. That’s why we wear masks. The number of people who should be in church, the number of people who should be at any gathering. Those are determinations that are made locally and I respect that as we unfold this opening. I don’t think there’s anyone who would say at this point that tens of thousands of people should come together for a political convention no matter how great an ego trip it is for somebody. It’s dangerous for so many.”
