WATCH: Rapper Waka Flocka Defends Mario Lopez’s Comments On Transgender Children
Rapper Waka Flocka defended Mario Lopez’s comments about transgender children.
Mario Lopez came under fire from the outrage mob for saying it is ‘dangerous’ to allow children as young as 3-years-old to undergo a gender transition.
Lopez made the comment on a PragerU podcast with Candace Owens in June.
The popular Instagram news page ‘The Shade Room’ made a post about Lopez’s statement. One of the most liked responses to the post was from Waka Flocka, which said: “damn!!! Bro a real one for this i’m behind him a [sic] 100%.” Waka’s comment got over 22,000 likes and was mostly received positively. However, some in the comments accused Waka of being a ‘hater’ of LGBT community.
Lopez has since caved in to the pressure from the outrage mob. Lopez issued an apology for his comments, saying they were “ignorant and insensitive.”
Lopez is the host of the popular tabloid news show ‘Extra’. The producers of ‘Extra’ issued an apology and condemnation of Lopez’s comments. Lopez has reportedly missed a taping of ‘Extra’ since the controversy.
