Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has yet to submit the articles of impeachment against President Trump over to the Senate for a trial.
Republican Senator Josh Hawley (Missouri) proposed a new Senate rule to dismiss any impeachment articles if the House Speaker fails to transmit them to the Senate within 25 days from their publication date.
As an alternative path, Senator Lindsey Graham suggests starting the impeachment trial even if Nancy Pelosi doesn’t transmit the articles to the Senate.
