After Nancy Pelosi’s salon trip that violated her own party’s lockdown rules, the owner of the salon has closed for good after backlash.
The salon owner, Erica Klous stated, “Well, I don’t want to be known as famous, but I started to just get a ton of phone calls, text messages, emails. All my Yelp reviews, just all this, you know, saying that I am. They hope I go under and that I fail. So just a lot of negativity towards my business.”
Tucker Carlson asked, “So what does it mean for the business?”
Klous responded, “That means that I am actually done in San Francisco and closing my doors. Unfortunately.”
The owner also noted she is ‘physically scared’ to go back to San Francisco.
Klous stated, “I’m actually afraid to go back. Just because of the messages and emails I’ve been getting. So, yeah, it’s a little scary and sad. I do have a lot of positive calls and text messages from clients. But other than that, nothing but negativity.”
Klous continued, “And I’ve been there for 15 years. I’ve never felt that way about San Francisco. But unfortunately, it’s going down a path that-. A lot of people feel that way. I’m not the only one. I mean, obviously, I’m the only one in this situation, but a lot of people are leaving. They’re feeling unsafe.”
The salon owner stated, “Monday evening when [a stylist] informed me that he had made the appointment [with Pelosi]. He did not ask me if he could make the appointment. And as an independent stylist, he doesn’t have to ask me or ask for my permission to make appointments. He told me that he had already made the appointment. The restrictions in San Francisco currently do not allow stylists to perform any services indoors. I understand Mrs. Pelosi now claims that she was set up by me to come into the salon and be filmed. Of course, since I had no contact with Mrs. Pelosi or her team about any of this and Jonathan is the only one they communicated with. If there was a setup, it could have only been Jonathan who orchestrated it. In fact, not only did I not set her up, her assertion that she is a victim and was set up is totally false and outrageous.”
