WATCH: Ted Cruz Destroys Leftist Professor After She Claims Texas Voter ID Law Is “Racist” (VIDEO)
Many on the left are using this back and forth of Ted Cruz with a moronic leftist professor as a gotcha clip.
With headlines like “Ted Cruz gets ripped apart by voting expert as he tries to trick her with racism question,” which is ironically from a website called “The Independent,” leftist spin is reaching new levels of lows, particularly because their audience seems satisfied with being misinformed and “woke.”
In this clip, Cruz absolutely destroys these three leftists “experts” who mischaracterize Voter I.D. laws as racist. To be clear each professor said that voter I.D. laws can be racist and that it depends on their “intent.”
Many showing this clip such as CNN, which I won’t link to, will show the first part of the clip where leftist Professor Tolston calls the state of Texas racist for requiring an I.D. to vote.
Then Chris Cuomo on his show acts like it was some big smackdown, not even showing the rest of the clip, which basically shows Cruz obliterating Tolston and the other leftist experts for about 5 minutes straight.
“I would remind everyone that the current version of the Texas voter ID law for in-person voting. The Obama administration agreed in court in a court filing that they were satisfied with it and it was not discriminatory. You know, I have to say, this range of question actually shows the wildly partisan nature of the Democrats proposal. The record should reflect all three of the Democratic witnesses invited by the chairman maintained to this committee that voter ID laws can be and many instances in most instances, I think, of the various ways they formulated are racist.”
Cruz then went on to give the hard data and facts regarding what the American people think about voter ID.
“So let me tell you who disagrees with that. Thirty-five states across the country disagree with that because 35 states have voter ID laws in effect. But not just 35 states. Eighty-one percent of voters in America disagree with the radical views proposed by the Democrats. And the Democratic witness is not just 81 percent of Americans, 77 percent of black voters in America support voter ID laws. Seventy-eight percent of Hispanic voters in America support voter ID laws. Now they should think about that. Eighty-one percent of low-income Americans support voter ID laws. And yet what this bill is about is putting radicals in charge of saying if you require an I.D. to vote, that is racist and must be struck down. This is all about partisan power now.”
It’s a pretty strong argument from Cruz, it makes you wonder in what kind of world are these Democrat “experts” and liberal media pundits living in. These fake experts and pundits are solely propagandists that live to expand the power of Democrats have in this country. There is nothing racist about requiring an I.D. to vote these people just want to push laws that heavily favor Democrats. Makes you wonder why requiring an I.D. to vote would swing votes toward Democrats. It’s because requiring an I.D. to vote makes elections more secure. The less secure the Dems can make an election the better they do.
