When Senators Object Electors Sent By States, What Will Happen?

American Center for Law and Justice breaks down the possible scenarios and how this process could lead to a very long day in Congress.

Slates of electors are subject to objection by the Members of Congress on Jan. 6.

The objections must be submitted in writing by the legislators with signatures from both a member of the Senate and also the House of Representatives.

When objections are turned in, both chambers of Congress will end up separating to debate each slate objection.

The tally of states will be going in alphabetical order and Arizona is third in line.
