Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson Slammed By Conservatives Over Shocking Waukesha Statment

In an out-of-the-ordinary joint statement, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WA) and Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WA) warned that some may try and “exploit” the Waukesha massacre for “political purposes”.

In the statement, it was said that “It has come to our attention that outside individuals or groups may attempt to exploit the tragedy that occurred last Sunday in Waukesha for their own political purposes. As the U.S. Senators representing Wisconsin, one from each political party, we are asking anyone considering such action to cease and desist.”

A man driving an SUV rammed into a Christmas parade in downtown Waukesha, Wisconsin, last Sunday, killing six people and injuring more than 60 others. One of the victims was an 8-year-old kid.

An 11-year-old girl who had been injured was placed on a ventilator and is struggling for her life currently. Her mother provided an update on her health a little over a week later.

Jessalyn Torres is recovering from a broken pelvis, a skull fracture, and other injuries, according to one of two confirmed GoFundMe sites set up to assist the girl’s mother, Amber Kohnke, pay for her daughter’s medical bills. According to Kohnke, in an update on her daughter’s condition on Saturday, the small child “needs more time to heal”.

Authorities believe the driver was Darrell E. Brooks, 39, and have charged him with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide. They are considering charging him with a sixth charge of first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the boy’s death.

The senators’ statement did not go into detail about why they issued the warning, but they did say that they both had “full confidence in the local officials who responded with extraordinary professionalism, competence, integrity, and compassion” in the aftermath of the incident.

The senators’ statement said this concerning the police and investigators involved in the crime: “They have many difficult duties to perform in the coming days, weeks, and months, and they should be afforded the respect and support they deserve to undertake their responsibilities without outside interference.”

They went on to say that the main goals for officials right now are to “begin the healing process” and conduct a “thorough investigation and afford the accused full due process.”

As noted in the statement, “These will not be easy tasks and will be made even more difficult if conducted within a politically charged atmosphere. We ask everyone to demonstrate their interest and concern by praying for the victims, their families, and the entire community of Waukesha.”

Conservatives across Twitter have alshed out at Senator Johnson for downplaying the significance of Waukesha. Col. Rob Maness said in a tweet, “No Sen. Ron Johnson, we won’t stop reporting on the Waukesha Massacre”.

Another Twitter user said, “Why did Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin just tell us to stop talking about how an anti-white BLM militant plowed through the Waukesha Christmas parade last Sunday and murdered six people?”

Politcal commentator Jack Posobiec pointed out an interesting quesiton, saying, “Neither of them issued any such statement about Kyle Rittenhouse”.
