Witnesses Capture CVS Shoplifting Spree In San Francisco As Newsom Faces Recall

A witness captured a mob of women sprinting out of a San Francisco CVS with bags allegedly full of stolen items as a spree of retail thefts continues to plague the far-left city. Two other videos emerged of hooded men stealing bags of goods in broad daylight.

According to FOX2 reporter Henry K. Lee, the incident happened around 5 p.m. Monday at the drugstore located at Van Ness Avenue and Jackson Street.

Witness Steve Adams told Lee that the female shoplifting group was “picking the place dry” and that the store employees shrugged as if powerless to call the police.

“This sort of thing is becoming so normal,” the witness told Lee.

Retail thefts have exploded in Democrat-controlled states and cities, mostly attributed to the narrative of police resentment.

“Thanks to Prop 47 thefts under $950 will not be prosecuted, so cops will not bother showing up. Just a reminder that you get what you voted for, California!” Adam Carolla wrote to Twitter in response to one shoplifting video.

Far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once claimed that shoplifters are only stealing bread to feed their families. However, the image of desperate family men and women she paints is false.

“Shoplifters aren’t stealing ‘one or two items that someone might need to get by,’ San Francisco Police Department spokesman Robert Rueca told Fox News. “Our investigations have shown that there are organized fences where people are selling these products that they steal.”

Police have revealed that stolen goods have ended up on flea markets located in the Bay Area.

Is this @DemSocialists vision for America?” Sen. Marsha Blackburn wrote to Twitter.

California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is currently facing a recall election.

To put on a facade of concern about retail thefts, Newsom signed a bill last week to create crime task forces around the California Highway Patrol and local agencies to address organized theft operations.

Kevin Faulconer, a former San Diego mayor and one of Newsom’s political rivals, blasted the governor at an event outside a shuttered San Francisco drugstore. He stated that it’s clear the governor has failed to deter crime that is harming small businesses.

Californians have a chance to oust Newsom during a special election on September 14, 2021.
