The U.S. House voted on H.RES.888 on November 19, 2025 — a resolution that would have censured Delegate Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) and removed her from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence over alleged communications she received from Jeffrey Epstein while he was incarcerated.
The resolution failed by a roll call of 209 Yeas, 214 Nays, and 3 Present, official records show.

Delegate Stacey Plaskett defended herself publicly, explaining that Epstein was a constituent she had been in contact with to get information, reported Politico.
“I know how to question individuals. I know how to seek information. I have sought information from confidential informants, from murderers, from other individuals because I want the truth,” Plaskett said.” according to UPI.
H.RES.888 specifically sought to censure Plaskett and remove her from the Intelligence Committee for receiving information from Jeffrey Epstein while he was jailed, the resolution text documents.
Conservative outlets and activists called the failure to censure an unacceptable protection of alleged misconduct. Grassroots organizers are mobilizing protests and petitions demanding accountability following the vote.
