Another Georgia County Finds Thousands Of Votes, Majority Are For Trump

Another county in Georgia reportedly found about 2,755 votes that had not been counted and most of those votes were meant for President Donald Trump, according to local reports.

11Alive News reported the incident in Fayette County, which was won by the incumbent President by 19 points in 2016 but by a narrower margin of 6 points in this election cycle.

“Gabriel Sterling in the Secretary of State’s Office describes what happened in Fayette County: There were votes that had been scanned and were on a memory card, but the issue was that they hadn’t been uploaded,” the local media said.

“He said it was more easily discoverable than the issue in Floyd County, because they were able to see that the number of people who were checked in on the early voting file in Fayette was higher than the number of people there was in the county’s reported vote total,” it added.

“Gabriel Sterling with the GA Sec. of State’s office says 2,755 votes discovered in Fayette County. Unlike in Floyd County, these were scanned votes that were in the system. 1,577 for Donald Trump 1,128 for Joe Biden. This makes a net gain of over 400 for Trump. #11alive #gapol,” a tweet from 11Alive News correspondent said.

Daily Beast reporter Sam Brodey wrote: “Just now: GA elections spox @GabrielSterling says the ongoing election audit confirmed 2,755 previously uncounted votes in Fayette County: 1,577 for Trump; 1,128 for Biden. Biden’s statewide advantage in GA now down to 12,929.”

A historic audit and full-hand recount of votes in Georgia is in full swing as election officials race to meet the approaching deadline.

While some counties like Fulton, DeKalb and Clayton were reportedly done with their audit, others like Gwinnett, Fayette, and Floyd are yet to finish” as the Wednesday,  11:59 p.m. deadline nears.

States were given until Friday to certify the elections.

Earlier, 2,600 uncounted ballots were also found in Floyd County, a pro-Trump county were the incumbent Republican president is ahead of Democratic challenger Joe Biden by 40 points.

Sterling, who oversaw the new statewide election system for Georgia, had said that the “mistake” happened because election officials reportedly missed uploading a memory card containing the votes to a ballot counting machine.”

“Just a thought again today … that if this was Fulton County finding uncounted votes, my Twitter mentions would be melting down. But when it’s two GOP counties (Floyd & Fayette), well it’s just a shrug of the shoulders,” local reporter Jamie Dupree tweeted.

“And we have a second county in Georgia where all the votes were not counted. Fayette County voted 53-46 for Trump.”

President Trump reacted to the latest development in Georgia by retweeting the news “Second Georgia County Finds Thousands More Votes, Majority Are For Trump.”

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger earlier ordered the manual hand recount to “help build confidence” in the election result as Democratic candidate Joe Biden leads the historically-Republican state by about 14,000 votes against President Trump.

Raffensperger said it will also clear worries of voting irregularities and mismanagement of the state’s elections last November 3.
