  • TURNING TIDE: Liberal Activist Joy Reid Admits She Would “Freak Out” If She Saw A Naked Man In Women’s Locker Room

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Joy Reid said she would “freak out” if she encountered male genitalia in a women’s locker room.

“If I saw a penis in the ladies’ locker room, I would freak out, too. … I would probably go to management and say, ‘Wait a minute. Why is there a naked man in this room?’”

Reid aired the comments on her “Reid This Reid That” podcast in a conversation with her cousin Jacque Reid, and both referenced a recent incident involving Los Angeles musician Tish Hyman at a EoS Fitness gym as the catalyst for the discussion.

Jacque Reid put the concern bluntly: “I don’t want to be in a women’s locker room and see men genitalia [sic]. For those of us who it bothers, I don’t think that we should have to be subjected to that.”

The episode landed against the backdrop of Reid’s departure from MSNBC earlier in 2025 as part of a primetime lineup revamp after sagging ratings following the 2024 election.

The gym incident at the heart of the conversation involved musician Tish Hyman — whose EoS Fitness membership was canceled after she complained about a biological male in the women’s locker room, Breitbart reported. EoS Fitness has not yet published a statement in response to the horrific incident.

California law bars discrimination based on gender identity in public accommodations, including gyms, a point emphasized by the state Attorney General’s office.

This Joy Reid podcast episode has a sharper political edge for conservatives: it could signal a shift among some liberal women voicing privacy concerns even as they support transgender rights.
