The White House has shared a somber update regarding DJ Daniel’s health condition.
Thirteen-year-old Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel, from Houston, Texas, was diagnosed in 2018 with terminal cancer affecting his brain and spine. At the time, doctors gave him a life expectancy of just five months.
Despite these odds, DJ has survived for seven years and has undergone 13 surgeries on his brain.
DJ, who dreams of working in law enforcement, has been officially made a member of more than 1,300 police agencies across the nation, including the United States Secret Service.
When President Trump honored DJ for his courage during his February address to Congress, Democrats chose not to applaud.
Incredible. President Trump just made this 13-year-old cancer survivor's dreams come true. DJ Daniel has always wanted to be in law enforcement, and now he's an honorary member of the United States Secret Service.
According to a social media statement from the White House, “We’re lifting up Agent DJ Daniel in prayer after his dad, Theodis, shared that DJ is now facing three new tumors.”
The statement continued: “DJ is one of the strongest, bravest young men—and has now been sworn into 1,351 law enforcement agencies across the country.”
They finished with, “Agent Daniel, you’re a true legend.”
