America’s farmland is not for sale to communist China or any foreign adversary. Senators John Fetterman (D-PA) and Pete Ricketts (R-NE) have introduced the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure (AFIDA) Improvements Act, a vital bipartisan bill to stop foreign enemies from quietly buying up our nation’s lifeblood—our agricultural lands. This legislation is a clear step toward safeguarding national security, food sovereignty, and the American way of life under President Donald Trump’s America First agenda.

The facts are unambiguous. Foreign entities already own around 3% of all privately held U.S. farmland, and while Chinese ownership is currently less than 1%, it is steadily increasing. Left unchecked, hostile foreign governments like China threaten to control U.S. food production and by extension hold a knife to the throat of our people. Two Chinese nationals recently charged with smuggling biological materials into the U.S. only underline the dire risks of agroterrorism and espionage. America cannot afford to be complacent.

The AFIDA Improvements Act directly addresses the loopholes exposed by a January 2024 Government Accountability Office report that declared current laws “outdated” and “inadequate.” This legislation demands rigorous reporting for any foreign person or entity holding more than a 1% stake in American farmland. The bill is championed by patriotic leaders like Sen. Ricketts, who passionately warns about the dangers of Chinese ownership and Sen. Fetterman, boldly declaring that adversarial nations should own “ZERO agricultural land” in the United States.

This bipartisan effort is a testament to America First principles promoted by President Trump since January 20, 2025. It resounds deeply with conservative values that prioritize national security, economic sovereignty, and the defense of our farmers—true stewards of God’s creation. Scripture reminds us in Genesis 2:15 that man is called to “work and keep” the land, entrusted by the Creator to sustain generations. Protecting American soil from foreign dominion is both a practical and spiritual duty.

Contrast this with the reckless leftist policies of previous administrations, which turned a blind eye to creeping Chinese influence and allowed national security threats to fester. The Biden regime’s weak stance emboldened China to advance its nefarious plans on American soil. Today, thanks to bold conservative leadership, a robust countermeasure is advancing through Congress to reclaim control.

Critics may argue that foreign investment grows the economy and accuse patriots of xenophobia. But allowing even a sliver of control over our food supply to hostile powers jeopardizes the very fabric of our nation. This is not discrimination; this is survival. Americans must call out the reckless Democrats and RINOs who prioritize globalist agendas over American families. Any cooperation with communist China comes at the price of our sovereignty and security.

Senator Fetterman’s recent social media campaign states plainly: “I hope many would agree the Chinese government and other U.S. adversaries should own ZERO agricultural land in our great country. This is really a national security issue + also a food security issue.” It’s heartening to see a Democrat stand with conservatives on such a vital matter. Leadership like this reflects the unity needed to preserve our Republic.

Patriots, now is the time to act. We must demand swift passage of the AFIDA Improvements Act and ensure the U.S. Department of Agriculture is empowered to enforce these critical protections. Our farms are the backbone of America’s economic independence and our food security. To permit foreign adversaries to infiltrate these sacred grounds is to invite disaster.

Let every American defender of faith, family, and freedom rise up and support this legislation. Stand with President Trump’s America First vision. Preserve the blessing of the land God has given us. Protect our nation’s farmers and keep U.S. farmland in American hands where it belongs. The time for talk is over—the time for action is now.
