Trump Issues New Statement Blasting Biden: ‘Someone Should Ask Him’ What He’ll Surrender Next ‘If They Can Find Him’

Former President Donald Trump blasted President Joe Biden once again  following the turn of events in Afghanistan over the weekend which saw Kabul fall in the hands of Taliban forces rendering America’s 20-year war in the country useless.

The former president made his third statement over the situation in Afghanistan on Monday morning as Biden is yet to personally address the issue.

“First Joe Biden surrendered to COVID and it has come roaring back,” Trump said, referring to the mounting cases of COVID-19’s Delta variant in the country.

“Then he surrendered to the Taliban, who has quickly overtaken Afghanistan and destroyed confidence in American power and influence.”

“The outcome in Afghanistan, including the withdrawal, would have been totally different if the Trump Administration had been in charge,” Trump added.

“Who or what will Joe Biden surrender to next? Someone should ask him if they can find him.”

Trump called for Biden’s resignation

Earlier, Trump also called for the resignation of President Biden following the Kabul fiasco.

“What Joe Biden has done with Afghanistan is legendary. It will go down as one of the greatest defeats in American history!” Trump said on Sunday, as he blasted the Democratic president’s other failures barely eight months in office.

“It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan, along with the tremendous surge in COVID, the Border catastrophe, the destruction of energy independence, and our crippled economy,” the former president said.

In a statement, Trump also blasted Biden for the unfolding debacle in Afghanistan which he called a “disgrace” — warning that with Biden’s strategy in Afghanistan, the Taliban “no longer has fear or respect for America.”

“Joe Biden gets it wrong every time on foreign policy, and many other issues,” the former Republican chief executive said. “Everyone knew he couldn’t handle the pressure. Even Obama’s Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, said as much.”

“He ran out of Afghanistan instead of following the plan our Administration left for him — a plan that protected our people and our property, and ensured the Taliban would never dream of taking our Embassy or providing a base for new attacks against America. The withdrawal would be guided by facts on the ground,” he added.

Trump also spoke of Biden’s “weakness, incompetence” which allowed the Taliban to take over Afghanistan with little to no resistance.

“After I took out ISIS, I established a credible deterrent,” Trump said in his statement. “That deterrent is now gone. The Taliban no longer has fear or respect for America, or America’s power.”

“What a disgrace it will be when the Taliban raises their flag over America’s Embassy in Kabul. This is a complete failure through weakness, incompetence, and total strategic incoherence,” he continued.

Biden puts blame on Trump

On Saturday, President Biden sought to point fingers for the current Afghanistan fiasco — saying former President Trump was to blame for the “inherited” which he claimed was a “deal cut by my predecessor.”

“Shortly before he left office, he also drew US Forces down to a bare minimum of 2,500,” Biden said. “Therefore, when I became President, I faced a choice — follow through on the deal, with a brief extension to get our Forces and our allies’ Forces out safely, or ramp up our presence and send more American troops to fight once again in another country’s civil conflict.”

Nonetheless, foreign policy experts are pushing back on Biden’s claims saying that he “owns all of this”  — as critics also blasted the current Democratic administration for effectively “abandoning” Afghanistan to the Taliban.

Former director of the CIA and secretary of state,  Mike Pompeo, also revealed that the former Trump administration has a different plan for how to pull out American forces in Afghanistan.

“I don’t know exactly what they are doing, but we had conditions attached to how we were thinking about this withdrawal — I was part of those negotiations,” Pompeo said last week.

“I was also in the room when President Trump made very clear to Mullah Baradar, the senior Taliban negotiator, that if you threatened an American, if you scared an American, certainly if you hurt an American, that we would bring all American power to bear to make sure that we went to your village, to your house,” Pompeo added.

“We were very clear about the things we were prepared to do to protect American lives. And indeed, since we began those negotiations back in February of 2020, there wasn’t a single American killed by the Taliban. We had established a deterrence model,” the former secretary of state continued.

Foreign policy experts blast Biden

Rebeccah Heinrichs, the senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, told The Daily Wire that Biden needs to address the country immediately as “there are a lot of military families who deserve it and so much more.”

“He begins by listing what his administration is scrambling to do to avoid American and partner deaths, and to have the ability to conduct counterterrorism operations,” Heinrichs said. “And this horrible scramble with high stakes is all because of Biden’s order to withdraw immediately.”

“There is plenty of blame to go around for the failures in Afghanistan, but what happens as a result of the way the withdrawal happened will be Biden’s alone. He can’t pass this off on Trump. He owns all of this,” Heinrich added.

Andrea Stricker, a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) said the “poorly planned exit” of US forces in Afghanistan “will go down in history as a major US strategic failure.”

Jamil Jaffer — who serves as Founder and Executive Director of the National Security Institute — called Biden “pathetic.”

At least 2,448 American service members were killed during America’s longest war in Afghanistan; along with 3,846 US contractors and 66,000 Afghan national military and police.

It has also cost the US taxpayers $2 trillion.
