  • Trump Confronts Ramaphosa: White Farmer Genocide Ignored in South Africa?

On Wednesday, President Trump met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa for bilateral discussions as violence against White Afrikaner farmers continues to be reported.

Throughout the meeting, Trump presented a series of video clips showing Africans advocating violence against White Afrikaners. This came after President Ramaphosa told reporters that President Trump was misinformed about the killings and should “listen” to South African voices.

The Gateway Pundit has published numerous reports focusing on violence targeting White farmers in South Africa.

Julius Malema, who leads the Economic Freedom Fighters party, is well-known for leading chants and singing songs that encourage killing White farmers. The compilation shown by Trump included segments of Malema urging to “shoot to kill” and to “kill the boer, the farmer”, along with additional footage of individuals calling for the killing of White farmers in South Africa.

In 2022, the South African Equality Court determined that chanting “Kill the Boer” does not constitute hate speech.

Amid these rising threats, thousands of White Afrikaners have sought asylum in the United States, citing dangers posed by Black South Africans and government land seizures.

Additionally, Trump showed members of the media images of burial locations for over a thousand murdered White farmers. President Ramaphosa responded by pretending not to know about the sites, saying, “I’d like to know where that is because this, I have never seen.”

Watch highlights from their tense interaction below:

Reporter: What will it take for you to be convinced that there’s no White genocide in South Africa?

Ramaphosa: It will take President Trump listening to the voices of South Africans, some of whom are his good friends, like those who are here. When we have talks… it will take President Trump to listen to them. I’m not going to be repeating what I’ve been saying. I would say if there was Afrikaner farmer genocide, I can bet you these three gentlemen would not be here, including my Minister of Agriculture. He would not be with me. So, it’ll take him, President Trump, listening to their stories, to their perspective.

Trump: Mr. President, I must say, we have thousands of stories talking about it, and we have documentaries, we have news stories… I could show you a couple of things, and it has to be responded to. Let me see the articles please and turn the lights down…
