Is This Chicago Or Communist China? Chicago Democrat Mayor Makes Disturbing Threat To ARREST Americans Who Violate Stay-At-Home Order (VIDEO)
Following reports of several house parties being held around the Chicago area this weekend, Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot issued a disturbing threat to those Chicago residents who would dare to violate her authoritarian stay-at-home orders: “We will take you to jail, period.”
Lightfoot, Chicago’s first openly LGBTQ mayor, held a press conference on Saturday to address the news that Chicago police had broken up several social events with more than 50 people in attendance on Friday. The authorities had learned that more parties were expected to take place on Saturday and Sunday.

“We will shut you down, we will cite you, and if we have to, we will arrest you,” said Lightfoot. “Don’t make us treat you like a criminal, but if you act like a criminal and you violate the law and refuse to do what’s necessary to save lives in the middle of a pandemic, we will take you to jail, period.”
Mayor Lightfoot went on to encourage Chicagoans to snitch on their fellow residents if they hear about any house parties happening in the future.
“If you see one of these parties happening, or you know it is going to happen, you can contact the police department anonymously,” said Lightfoot.
As of April 26, 2020, 146 people have been murdered in Chicago, 3 more murders than there was by the same date last year. But rather than directing Chicago Police to crack down on gang violence to lower the city’s unacceptable murder rate, Mayor Lightfoot is ordering Chicago’s officers to spend their time arresting American citizens for attending house parties.
Additionally, Chicago is a proud “sanctuary city” for illegal aliens, a term used to describe cities that refuse to comply with federal immigration laws. In 2019, Chicago authorities released Christopher Puente, a Mexican illegal alien, despite ICE telling them to hold him after he was arrested for theft. After the ICE detainer request was ignored by Chicago police, Puente was again arrested in February 2020, this time for sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl in a McDonald’s bathroom.
Chicago law enforcement and Mayor Lightfoot continue to stand by their decision to refuse to cooperate with ICE.
“The Chicago Police Department remains committed to protecting all Chicago residents regardless of their immigration status,” the Chicago Police Department said in a statement. “Our pledge to restrict ICE access to our information systems and our refusal to cooperate with ICE immigration enforcement measures has not changed.”
Mayor Lightfoot also weighed in, saying, “If ICE is complaining, then they should do their job better.”
But some of you STILL think these coronavirus authoritarian stay-at-home orders about “saving lives”?
