Jen Psaki, the White House Minister of Propaganda, mocked the idea that Biden’s coronavirus vaccine mandates have led to Southwest Airlines pilots not showing up to work.
“I know, uh, world-renowned business, travel and health expert, Senator Ted Cruz has made that point,” Psaki said Tuesday in response to a question about vaccine mandates reducing the workforce. “But, I wouldn’t say that that is widely acknowledged or echoed by business leaders who have implemented these mandates or by health experts who have conveyed the way to get out of the pandemic is to ensure we are doing exactly the steps the president has announced and we are working to implement.”

Psaki stated that vaccine mandates are “good” to the US economy.
Psaki was responding to a tweet from Republican Sen. Ted Cruz that tied major Southwest Airlines flight cancellations over the weekend to the airline’s vaccine policy.

Psaki agreed that there had been some “hubbub” surrounding the cancellations, but insisted that “some of those claims were absolutely false.”
Southwest Airlines said the cancellations, which impacted more than 1,000 flights, were caused by weather and air traffic control concerns.
As the Southwest incident unfolded, a commercial pilot with 18 years of experience went popular on TikTok speaking out against vaccine mandates. His post has received more than 2 million views.
Joshua Yoder, a commercial airplane pilot and co-founder of the United States Freedom Flyers, attacked President Biden on Tucker Carlson Tonight for his September decision ordering that the majority of US employees obtain a coronavirus vaccine in order to retain their employment.
Yoder stated that if the warning from the previous weekend is not heard, the effect of thousands of American workers being laid off en masse will have terrible and long-lasting consequences for the US economy and everyday life for all Americans.

“If you have flights reduced by 30% because 30% of pilots are fired because they won’t take the vaccine, this is going to affect how your goods get here from overseas, how they are distributed to the store,” he said.
“The same thing is happening with the truckers, it’s happening in the shipping industry. Those Amazon boxes that typically show up in two days, you might be looking at three weeks.”
Job opportunities in the United States fell from a record high in August, as the quit rate soared to an all-time high. According to the Labor Department’s Job Opening and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS, the total number of job opportunities decreased by 659,000 to a seasonally adjusted 10.439 million at the end of August. July’s reading of 11.098 million was revised up by 164,000 to 11.098 million.
The industries with the greatest decline in job vacancies are health care and social assistance (-224,000), lodging and food services (-178,000), and state and local government education (-178,000). (-124,000). Federal government job vacancies increased by 22,000 (+22,000).
